Overview

Nigeria's construction, mining, and road-building sectors demand equipment that performs under extreme load and heat — and the Sinotruck HOWO 380HP 6*4 Dump Truck is engineered precisely for that. With a high-output 380-horsepower engine, heavy-duty 6*4 drive configuration, and a spacious 6.8-metre hydraulic dump bucket, this tipper truck is built to handle the most demanding job sites across Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano, and beyond.

Whether you are moving laterite on a highway project, hauling granite from a quarry, or shifting fill material on a large infrastructure contract, this truck delivers the payload capacity, drivetrain durability, and operator comfort that Nigerian contractors and fleet owners require.

Why This Truck Suits Nigerian Operating Conditions

  • High-torque engine: The 380HP powertrain delivers strong torque at low RPM, giving consistent performance on unpaved roads, steep gradients, and heavily loaded haulage routes common in Nigeria's interior states.
  • Reinforced chassis: The high-tensile steel frame is designed to absorb the stress of rough terrain, overloaded public roads, and repeated tipping cycles without premature fatigue.
  • Large bucket volume: The 6.8m dump body maximises payload per trip, reducing cycle time and fuel cost per tonne — critical for tight project margins.
  • Proven reliability: HOWO trucks have accumulated millions of operating hours across West Africa. Spare parts are widely available in Lagos, Onitsha, and Kano markets.
  • Climate-ready cab: Factory-fitted air conditioning and ergonomic seating reduce driver fatigue on long hauls in Nigeria's tropical heat.

Ideal Applications in Nigeria

  • Highway and federal road construction
  • Granite, limestone, and laterite quarry haulage
  • Building and real estate development
  • Dam, port, and airport infrastructure projects
  • Government and state public works contracts
  • Oil-field access road construction in the Niger Delta

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Is this truck brand new or refurbished?

This is a 100% brand new Sinotruck HOWO unit, manufactured at the Sinotruk (Jinan) factory in China. It has never been registered or operated.

2. What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

We can supply from 1 unit. Bulk orders of 3 or more units typically qualify for better per-unit pricing and can be consolidated in one shipment to reduce freight cost.

3. Can the bucket size or body be customised?

Yes. While the standard listing features a 6.8m dump body, we can arrange bodies of different lengths, thicknesses, or configurations (U-shape, rectangular, high-side) to suit specific cargo types or Nigerian road weight limits.

4. Are spare parts available in Nigeria?

HOWO parts are among the most widely stocked Chinese truck components in Nigeria. Engine parts, gearbox components, cab parts, and hydraulic elements are available from numerous stockists in Lagos (Trade Fair, Ladipo), Onitsha, and Kano. We can also supply spare parts directly.

5. What warranty does the truck carry?

New HOWO trucks are covered by the manufacturer's standard warranty. As an export unit, after-sales support is provided through our company. Please discuss warranty terms with our sales team before purchase.

6. How long does it take from order to delivery in Nigeria?

For in-stock units, preparation takes approximately 7–15 days, followed by 25–35 days sea transit. Total lead time from order confirmation to Nigerian port arrival is typically 4–7 weeks.

7. What payment methods are accepted?

We accept T/T (Telegraphic Transfer / Bank Wire) and Letter of Credit (L/C) from reputable Nigerian banks. Standard payment terms are 30% deposit with order and 70% balance before shipment, or as agreed.

8. Can I inspect the truck before shipment?

Yes. Buyers or their appointed third-party inspection agents (such as SGS or Bureau Veritas) are welcome to inspect units at our Qingdao facility before shipment. Video inspection can also be arranged for buyers unable to travel.

9. Does the truck comply with Nigerian import regulations?

Yes. Heavy commercial trucks do not fall under the SON pre-shipment inspection scheme applicable to consumer goods. Standard Nigerian import procedures (Form M, PAAR) apply. We provide all documents required for smooth port clearance.

10. Who do I contact for pricing and availability?

Email our export team at bruce@alstonmotors.com for a detailed quotation, current stock status, and any technical questions about this model.
