TESLA Model Y 2022 Rear Drive
Model Y offers the compelling performance that has become an icon of the Tesla brand. Its twin-motor electric drivetrain delivers instant torque to all four wheels for fast acceleration, with a 0-60 mph time of 4.8 seconds for the long-range model and just 3.5 seconds for the performance model.
The interior features a sleek, minimalist design. It uses premium vegan simulated leather materials and elegant wood trim across the dashboard. At the heart of the interior is a 15-inch infotainment system that controls almost everything. It has a bit of a learning curve and we expect it to come with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The seating space in the first and second rows is quite spacious. The seats are supportive and comfortable enough for long-distance cruising and the cabin is quiet thanks to the electric powertrain. the available third row of seats in the Long Range model is very compact, but great if you need the occasional extra sea area in a pinch.
The 5-seater model has plenty of cargo area, but adding the optional third row reduces space. The maximum rear cargo capacity with the rear seats folded down is 68 cubic feet and there is a small 'frunk' at the front where the engine usually sits.

Performance Advantages
The Model Y has the engaging performance that has become a hallmark of the Tesla brand. Its twin-motor electric drivetrain delivers instant torque to all four wheels for fast acceleration, with a 0-60 mph time of 4.8 seconds for the long-range model and just 3.5 seconds for the performance model.
In addition to the higher top speed and faster 0-60 time, the Performance model adds performance brakes and a lowered suspension. It combines to create an exciting driving experience without sacrificing practicality. The Performance Model still has an electric range of over 300 miles.
While we love the Model Y's exciting performance - even in base trim - it's a bit of a sturdy ride for what is considered a luxury SUV. If the smooth, supple ride of a premium crossover is your priority, you may want to consider a hybrid luxury SUV like the Lexus RX Hybrid.
