Model 3 2022 Performance 4 Wheel Drive Tesla Electric Car
TESLA Model 3
With near-ideal performance, driving range and an affordable price, the 2022 Tesla Model 3 is an electric car that lives up to the hype. It's fast - especially in performance trim - and agile, meaning the Model 3 is an electric car that driving enthusiasts like us can fall behind. With a mid-level long range of 357 miles per charge, there's no need to charge the Model 3 every day. However, its attractive entry price doesn't unlock the Model 3's full potential, and its fit and finish doesn't quite match alternatives like the Chevrolet Bolt and Ford Mustang Mach E. Nevertheless, there's no cheaper way to park Tesla's ground-breaking electric car in your driveway.

Electric car motors, power and performance
Like most electric cars, the Model 3 gains speed smoothly and almost silently, with the electric motor providing powerful power when it comes to a stop. And it's fast - very much so in certain trims. The rear-wheel drive Long Range model we tested sprinted from zero to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds. Model 3 Performance accelerated to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds, 0.5 seconds faster than our long-term Model 3 Long Range. Like all Teslas, the Model 3 places the battery under the floor, resulting in a low centre of gravity. This helps it change direction clearly and feel planted and stable in the corners. The steering is accurate and moderately weighted, with three different settings to adjust the level of steering force. The ride is firm and not harsh; however, without the noise of the gas engine, you do hear a lot of noise in the cabin when the tyres bleed and bang on the road.
